How it works
We do not sell the boat by the hour, we sell ride time. An outing runs ninety minutes and takes up to eight riders: each books their minutes, takes their turn, and recovers on board while the others ride. You only pay for the time you spend behind the boat.
That is what lets the boat go out on a Tuesday evening without waiting for a group of six to form — and what keeps it affordable: four riders sharing an outing each pay far less than a private charter.
Joining, or not
Membership is not required to ride. It costs CHF 250 a year, federation included, and takes the minute from CHF 5.– to 3.50 — 30% less. It breaks even after roughly 11 fifteen-minute rides: if you plan to come more than three or four times a season, it pays.
Being a member also means being part of the association: you vote at the general assembly and have a say in what we do with the boat.
Credits
You top up your account with an amount in francs, converted into minutes at your applicable rate. Those minutes are deducted automatically when you book: no payment to make when you ride, no card to pull out on the pontoon.
Top up online by card or TWINT, or in cash at the pontoon — we record the entry and email you a receipt. Every entry is logged: that is what lets the association keep clean accounts.
Credits are not reserved for members. A non-member can top up and ride at the public rate; membership simply improves how many minutes their francs buy.
Why an association
Because the point is not to make a profit but to keep a boat running. Resources — membership fees, minutes sold — go to running costs, maintenance and fuel. No profit is distributed.
